The L.C.U. is a casting aid. The seat at the top of the LCU is a universal shape that fits 95% of the rods out there. At the back of the seat are the slot antlers that once in position stops the LCU from moving forward. In conjunction with the Velcro strap that wraps around the rod to secure the LCU in place. The LCU sits directly above the reel and under the rod, load the line and remove the bail arm. Once it is set all you do is pull the trigger to release the line
